Engage Ireland has announced the appointment of Michael Bohan as Head of Visual Content.
The Cork native has over 14 years of experience in digital media. Following a qualification in Desktop Publishing, he began his career at Wild Acre Productions in Cork as a camera operator and editor of commercials before producing television programming and graphics for large scale projects in Holland.
He has worked extensively with motion graphics (both 2D and 3D) and animation and is an experienced web designer.
Since his appointment to the newly-created role of Head of Visual Content, Michael has already worked on campaigns for the Student Enterprise Awards, Fresh – The Good Food Market, the Bray Air Display and Agile Networks. The Head of Digital Marketing with Engage Ireland, Adrienne Ferguson, welcomed Michael’s appointment, saying: “Digital marketing, with engaging content for audiences, is becoming vital for brands and businesses, and demand is growing at an impressive rate.”
“In addition to copy-writing and PR services, we can now offer visual content creation services to brand owners and SMEs, such as infographics, e-mail templates and social media content,” she added.
Engage Ireland was part of the award-winning team behind the Bray Air Display, which scooped an aviation award at the inaugural Aviation Industry Awards. For the 2014 Bray Air Display in July (20th), which welcomed 88,000 spectators , Michael designed a paper plane kit for media, along with infographics and social media headers for the organisers at Simtech Aviation.
Following recent expansion, the marketing and communications company is now headquartered on the Nangor Road in Dublin (Riverview Business Park).
