Microsoft is launching a new program specifically designed to help accelerate software start-ups in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The launch presentations will be followed by a great Digital Ireland Meetup, a networking event run by Digital Media Forum and Mobile Monday Dublin. Come along and join Microsoft, local start-ups, industry partners, and members of the local venture capitalist community for a great evening of celebration and networking.
When? Thursday, November 6th, 6:30-8pm, followed by networking (doors open 6pm)
Where? The Four Seasons Hotel, Ballsbridge
Microsoft new start-up program will focus on three areas:
- Software: Getting fast and easy access to all the software you need to get your solution to market quickly
- Support: Getting the technical and business support you need to build your solutions and grow your business
- Visibility: Giving visibility of your product or solution to customers, partners and potential investors.
Full details of this new program are still under wraps, but all will be revealed at this launch event. The evening will include a brief presentation from Paul Rellis, Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland. This presentation will be followed by a panel discussion, chaired by Cliff Reeves, General Manager of Microsoft’s Global Strategic and Emerging Business Group on how we can foster start-ups and innovation in Ireland today featuring some local software start-ups, industry partners and VCs.
Afterwards, there will be a great opportunity to get involved in the Digital Island Meetup networking event, jointly organised by Digital Media Forum and Monday Mobile Dublin. This part of the event will include some presentations from start-ups in the mobile space followed by Open Demo – a chance for local start-ups to get feedback from their peers. There will also be plenty of time to network with the VC community, partners, speakers and other attendees.
If you have any questions about the event – please feel free to mail Clare Dillon (email@example.com).
