LTS First Aid Specialists recently completed Occupational First Aid Training for the Leinster Council of the GAA. The training, which took place at Parnell Park, was for employees, mentors and development officers in various clubs throughout the province. The initial contract was for forty eight people in total. More training will take place in January which will include Heartsaver AED training in the use of defibrillators.
LTS First Aid Specialists will also be training for individual clubs in 2009 and and details will be circulated by the Leinster Council in the near future. Maria Lalor of LTS said they were delighted with the response of the participants and particularly pleased that GAA personnel were being trained in the use of defibrillators as they greatly improve the chances of survival in the event of a cardiac incident.
