Independent.ie is today delighted to announce the re-launch of its new site.
The new design reflects significant input from our loyal readers, who provided us with key insights and feedback following in depth user research and studies of emerging consumption trends that we conducted in 2012.
Showcasing a cleaner look and feel, improved navigation, a much improved video section, live blogs, up-to-the-minute reports and coverage of high profile news, business and sporting events are just some of the key features of our new design.
The new site will have a much bigger emphasis on sharing and social media, making it easier for users to share stories, photos and videos.
The new site incorporates a much improved News section which features all the latest local, national, world news and opinion, along with a complete redesign of all of our key verticals across Independent.ie including Business, Sports, Entertainment, Lifestyle and our dedicated female site; IndependentWoman.ie along with our 13 Regional Titles.
Our re-designed Business section includes opinion, analysis and blogs from top journalists such as Charlie Weston, Nick Webb and Fionnan Sheehan, whilst the new Sports section includes up-to-the-minute reports, live blogs and coverage of all of the high profile sporting events all updated in real time.
