Nóirín Ní LaochaVice-Chairperson
Nóirín Ní Laocha is Head of eChannels at KBC Bank Ireland. She is responsible for developing the strategy and delivering the commercial performance of the bank’s digital channels.
Prior to this, Nóirín held a number of marketing roles in KBC including Senior Manager for Brand and Marketing Communications. Prior to joining KBC in 2006 Nóirín worked for Bank of Ireland, Superquinn and Paddy Power in a variety of marketing and customer experience roles.
Nóirín holds a BComm from NUIG, a Masters in Business Studies from UCD and Postgrad in Digital Marketing from DCU.
Stephen O’Leary is a media analyst at Olytico, an online media and social media monitoring and analysis company.
As well as an Irish and international client list, research and analysis carried out by Olytico has been used by major national and international broadcasters including RTE, TV3, BBC and The Washington Post.
Stephen is a World Economic Forum Young Global Shaper and a highly regarded conference speaker having addressed audiences at events including the Sport and New Media Conference in Paris, the Dublin Web Summit, DMX, The MBA Conference and the National Digital Media and Marketing Summit.
When he’s not analysing data, Stephen also lectures in Online Journalism in Griffith College Dublin.
Beatrice Whelan is multi award winning digital marketing manager with over ten years’ experience in digital and social media.Beatrice holds an and B.A and an M.S.c from Trinity College Dublin, and a Diploma in PR from the PRII. She currently works for business technology company Sage as Global Digital Content Manager. Previous roles at Google, Kildare.ie and Sage included online sales, search marketing, and social media and community development. She was co-organiser of Blog Awards Ireland in 2012 and 2013 and previously ran her own digital marketing business. She was also selected by Electric Ireland to be an ecar ambassador for the Great Electric Drive in 2013. She has spoken at various national events including National Women’s Enterprise Day and DMX Dublin. She is passionate about creating amazing experiences offline and online. Aidan McCullen is an Irish International Rugby Player and spent 10 years as a professional rugby player playing for Leinster, Toulouse and London Irish. In his final years he researched the Irish advertising market and spotted an opportunity in digital advertising. At 31, he started at the bottom working with Communicorp and one year later set up Communicorp Digital. Aidan is recognised in the Irish media industry as the pioneer of innovative cross platform selling. He also devised the digital strategies for the group. After many awards for social media, best products and successful campaigns Communicorp Digital merged with the sales teams of Newstalk, Today FM and TXFM to create Communicorp One. Aidan was Director of Digital and Innovation for the Group, focusing on future revenue lines, digital marketing innovation and product advancements. Aidan recently joined RTÉ as Head of Innovation partnerships and funding in January 2016, where is focussed on innovation acceleration, strategic partnerships with brands and start-ups and funding the digitisation of Ireland’s rich audio visual archive dating back to 1926.
Cyril is the Head of the Technology Practice at PSG Plus, the corporate, healthcare and reputation management division of PSG Communications. He has over 15 years’ experience in PR & Communications, and more than 10 years’ international PR experience across major technology clients ranging from BT, Sony, and Symantec to launching Bluetooth technology in the UK. Cyril works on a range of clients at PSG Plus, including Microsoft, Hailo, Allianz and BT.
Cyril acted as PSG’s media lead for the Web Summit 2014 and 2015, working to place stories with over 2,000 international media in the run up to and during the Web Summit. He also acts as the B2B communications lead for Microsoft in Ireland, and is a board member of the Irish Internet Association (IIA).
Cyril graduated with a first class honours M.Sc in Communications, Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Ulster, and a B.A (Hons) in English and French. Recently he completed a postgraduate in Digital Marketing at the Digital Marketing Institute of Ireland.
